Center stage.
Curtains spread.
Darkness.

A scream!
Hush.

Silence.

Release.
Spotlight.

She stands there;
Poised and determined.
Ready to take them on.

Ready to take on herself.

Change scene.

She remembers, she cries;
She holds herself together .
Tightly together
For just one moment.
One lasting moment.

Step forward.

Repeat.

Repeat again.

Step back.

Remember.
Remember laughter.
Remember joy.
Dancing around the room
All alone.
Singing her voice
In an empty room.

Pure. Happiness.

Forward step.

She sits,
And she waits for you.
For your promises and your dreams.
For everything you ever said.

She waits and she waits.

Fast forward.

You’re gone but she remains.

She stands there;
Poised and determined.
Ready to take them on.

Ready to take on herself.

She shouts!

Hush.

Again.  Silence.

Release.
Blackout.
This is meant as a sort of performance piece.

It is written in a sort of non-chronological depiction of a girl finding love, losing love, and remembering how life was without love before to gain back confidence in oneself.

It follows in kind of how our thought processes work. Very rarely do are thoughts come about chronologically.
